Ansgar Olberding from the parts dealer "CiPeRe", presented a school grade-like system for the quality certification of spare parts that his company already uses. It comprises six levels, from "0" (historical original spare part) to "5" (low quality). The aim is to give customers more transparency about the quality of spare parts when they order them. Olberding also noted that the shift to e-mobility is contributing to a reduction in spare parts manufacturing capacity, which is causing problems with the replenishment of classic car spare parts.
