Citroën Dyane Engine and Transmission Mounts

The engine and transmission mounts on the Dyane are designed to prevent vibrations generated by the engine from being transmitted to the vehicle. If the engine were mounted without the appropriate rubber mounts, vibrations would occur throughout the vehicle, impairing drivability or even making it impossible to drive.

Why replace the engine mounts?

The rubber mounts on the engine mounts are subject to a natural aging process, which causes them to become very soft or even tear. As a result, vibrations can no longer be adequately absorbed.

Troubleshooting

If the engine emits a loud humming noise or knocking sounds occur when suddenly accelerating or decelerating, the engine mounts and transmission mounts are usually defective. Therefore, it is recommended to inspect the engine mounts if suspicious noises are heard. Replacing these parts often resolves the issue.

We offer compatible engine mounts for the Citroën Dyane 6 and Dyane 4. These are very affordable and can be replaced relatively easily. Please note that the engine mounts for the Dyane 4 and Dyane 6 are different. The transmission mount is identical for both Dyane models! Of course, we also carry all the necessary mounting hardware.
